As the weather begins to turn…

This is the time of years when our focus on pest management begins to take a back seat to tree services and other landscape oriented services. We will be spending some time discussing what those services are and how we go about them.

Tree Care
Throughout the year we are called about tree trimming, tree diseases and other issues like tree removal. But more than any other time of year we get calls about trees. Among the different species we have been dealing with lately are Dutch Elm Trees. Dutch Elm Disease is a very common malady that still affects thousands of elm trees in the greater Bay Area. We have a complete plan of attack for this disease.

We got the usual calls about Sudden Oak Death of course as this is still a significant problem for many home owners and municipalities. We have been noticing that more and more cities and townships are taking it upon themselves to deal with this terrible disease that has destroyed many oak trees in the Bay Area and other places around the world.

We have been getting many calls about tree trimming, palo alto in particular has been the source for many calls. Also, for some reason Saratoga tree removals have bee up too.

We generally like to avoid tree removals at all costs and have been quite successful at taking care of trees that had been given up on. Often times with an integrated approach much can be accomplished.
