What Does it Mean to Be Green?

“It’s not that easy bein’ green. . .” as Kermit the frog (and later Frank Sinatra) would sing. Though this website is not about singing or songs, the phrase remains a truism, even in the business of pest management and tree care.

What does it mean to provide a green pest control service? How are we different that a company than does not provide green solutions? What makes us unique? How can we honestly claim to be a “green” company when so very many people pass the word around, without bothering to define what it means?

First of all being green means being friendly to the earth, this beautiful green planet where we all live together. The earth has given us many substances in the form of minerals and plants. These we can use to control and manage various pests. Whether we are concerned with ants, spiders, wasps, or any of a variety of fungi, there is very likely a natural product-a product which was taken from the earth-which we can use to obtain control.

Second, it means that we are conservative with our measures. Will one application suffice to gain and maintain control? Then we won’t be selling you a monthly service. Is it possible that by sanitation measures alone, we can avoid the need for spraying entirely? Then we won’t be spraying. Can we treat only a limited area in order to effectively stop a problem which is not yet widespread? Then we will not be making an application over your entire property.

Third, it means that we are sensitive to your specific needs and concerns. Do you have pets? We can still provide you the control you need, while keeping them safe. Are you concerned about the safety of your children or an infant? You can count on us for an approach that is as effective as it is safe. Are you determined to completely avoid the use of any pesticide whatsoever? Very likely, we can still find a way to manage your pest problem.

We are in the business of taking care of people, and also taking care of the earth which all human beings share.
